Our President is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Class. Peter liaises with World Sailing, championship event organizers and 29er builders and works closely with the Class Executive Committee.
As a Vice President, Csaba is one of our four elected officers who sits on the Executive Committee providing valuable support and experience to the executive. Csaba has a solid background in sailing having competed at the Olympic Games in 2004.
Cecile is our Vice President who sits on the Executive Committee providing valuable support and experience to the executive. Cecile has an extensive background in business and sales as well as within sailing and as a 29er parent.
Our Chair of Technical ensures the strict one-design principles of the class are maintained. He is responsible for appointing the Chief Measurer at our major championship events who will ensure the class rules are adhered to. The Class Race Officer is responsible for overseeing our major championship events, ensuring high standards of race management & appoints race officials. He produces all class documentation for race management, safety and coach boat regulations. This post is currently held by David Campbell James.
This position represents the builders’ group and the CRH (Copyright Holder) to the members. Gives technical advice when required & presents evolutionary possibilities for equipment, maintaining strong cooperation between the Class and the manufacturers. Responsible for the day to day running of the class, including membership equiries, updating of the website, liaising with our major event organisers and Eurocup hosts. Organises the World Council meeting and handles the general administration of the class including liaison with World Sailing.
