The 29er Class is thrilled to welcome Dominika Vadurova, originally from Slovakia, as the new Assistant to Executive Director Pippa Kenton Page. Raised in a sailing family, Dominika started her journey on the water at just six years old in an Optimist, traveling across Europe with her father and developing a lifelong passion for sailing.
After an Olympic sailing career and representing the Czech Republic, Dominika initially hesitated to move into coaching. However, her part-time work with the Czech National Youth Team ignited a love for mentoring young sailors, particularly in guiding them through the challenges and joys of their sporting journeys.

Learning and Shaping the 29er Experience
Reflecting on her experience, Dominika shares:
"Helping my ex-crew transition to a new helm taught me how to shift my perspective from sailor and friend to coach. Learning on the go, fueled by curiosity, has always shaped my approach."
In her new role, Dominika’s main goal is to enhance the 29er experience both on and off the water. She aims to create events that are enjoyable and rewarding for sailors, coaches, and organizers alike, bringing fresh energy and perspective to the class.
Curiosity is Key
"Never stop being curious," she adds. "It will take you far."
We look forward to seeing Dominika’s impact on the 29er community and her contributions to shaping the next generation of sailors.
